In yet another trailblazing initiative, former Presidential Affairs Minister and prolific author, Momodou Sabally, has just established a consultancy firm and a magazine – Glo.
The consulting firm, Pen’s Den Consulting, is set up as a Social Entrepreneurship outfit with a mission to create and sustain social value. The company is not strictly profit-driven but rather aims to implement widespread improvements in society.
Pen’s Den Consulting has as its immediate key objectives: to inspire and educate African youths, and to promote the good image of The Gambia, Gambian institutions and personalities.
The company has set its eyes on helping to position young Gambians with talent in the domestic and international market while inspiring and instructing youths for self-actualisation with a view to building individual capacity to aid national progress.

In this vein Pen’s Den Consulting has begun publication of its first magazine, Glo. The first issue features Gambian international boxer Badou Jack on its cover and the second portrays a Gambian professional footballer plying his trade in the German Bundesliga, Ousman Manneh.
The key objective of Glo Magazine is to create and publish content in myriad formats aimed at engendering the spirit of hope and positive productive action towards self-actualization and active participation in community and national development.
“Glo Magazine” is published every two weeks, providing rich content on current happenings in the field of arts/culture, entertainment, health, travel, hot local and international news, music and sports.
The magazine is distributed through supermarkets and bookstores nationwide and has a dedicated website (www.glo.gm) with strong presence on all social media platforms.
